Fee and Registration Information
May 5 news: Registration for San Francisco is open! Seattle registration coming in mid-May!
We are sorry for the delay this year. The early registration discounts

Prices will be as for 2007, below.
For all events, entry fees are per person. PRE-REGISTRATION is REQUIRED for 16-hour and 7-hour.

Important Notes

Event bandana – Large, day-glo yellow,
and of a soft, somewhat stretchy knitted material. It will feature maps
and/or images of your city plus the Night & Day logo and date.

Event T-shirt – $18 / $12 Of
comfy moisture-wicking
Coolmax in unisex (men's) sizes S-XXL for $18,
cotton/poly in youth sizes S-L for $12.
(Our supplier doesn't have moisture-wicking shirts in youth sizes; sorry!)
The shirt will display maps and/or images of your city
plus the Night & Day logo and date.

Members of any orienteering club in the world receive $5 additional discount
off all prices except 3-hour prereg price.

Beyond the first two members
of a team, youth ages 6-12
are $5 for the 7 & 16 hour – if using Active.com then pay this
on the day of the event.

Preregistration required for 7-hour and 16-hour. Day of event registration is available for the 3 hour.

A limited number of fun volunteer opportunities are available
in exchange for reduced fees -- see below.
Team Size; Solo Participation
For the 16 hour race, teams may consist of 2 to 5 members;
no solo participation is allowed for safety reasons.
For the 3 and 7 hour events, you may participate solo or in a team of 2 to 5
members.
Team participation is strongly encouraged for the 7 hour event. If you chose to
participate solo, be aware of the possibility of getting
hurt or exhausted far from the event center.
Confirmation
Your registration is confirmed when you see your
name on the "Teams" page for your city.
If we have not added your name within 3 weeks of
registration,
please contact us. Pre-registered entrants who arrive at the event
without having checked to see that their
name is listed on our "Teams" page cannot expect to participate.
Cancellation Policy
Night and Day will be held rain or shine.
No refunds due to weather.
We will refund 75% of your entry fee if you cancel earlier than
6pm the Saturday
six weeks before the event;
50% if you cancel two to six weeks before the event.
No refunds after 6pm the Saturday two weeks before
the event unless we have a waiting list.
Volunteer Opportunities
All volunteers receive a free race bandana and T-shirt.

Bike Surveillance -- Free entry for 3 hour event
and free food
and notoriety are available to people who will work a four
hour shift doing spot checks on bicycle to ensure safety and
prevent cheating. Three spots available for each city.

Vetting --
Two people needed to visit checkpoints 2 weeks
before the event. This is a way to "do" the event ahead of time for
free.

Registration and set-up --
Up to $25 off the entry fee in exchange for four
hours work processing registration, assembling event packets, and
other last-minute assistance. Four spots available for each city.

San Francisco food preparation --
Select menu, shop, prepare and serve refreshments to finishers.
Earn $75 toward entry fees for your friends and family.
